USSU MTSoc - The Wedding Singer Production Funding

To raise some money for our production of 'The Wedding Singer' to be as amazing as it deserves to be!

We did it!

On 7th Mar 2018 we successfully raised £360 of £350 target with 27 supporters in 14 days

Who Are We?

We're the University of Surrey Musical Theatre Society (or MTSOC)!

We have 54 members from a range of courses, nationalities and backgrounds who all come together through a love of musical theatre!

For several years, our aim has been to provide our members with both an opportunity to do something fun and to help hone different skills! Whether they want to be a director, choreographer, actor, stage manager (the list goes on) we want to provide them with as many opportunities to advance these skills before entering the real working world!

This year is no different but we could really use your help!

Why Do We Need Help?

In March 2018 we are staging 'The Wedding Singer'. The entire student team, from cast to creatives to crew, are working super hard to make this our best production yet!

However, this show is particularly challenging to stage because of it's key theme - the 80s!

We are in desperate need of extending our costume and props budget in order to make the show the best that we know it can be!

We need those classic shoulder pads, massive mobile phones, parachute pants and tutus!

When and Where?

8th, 9th, 10th March to be specific!

If you're in the local area be sure to grab your tickets on !!!

We'd love to see as many people at the shows as possible!

And where, you might ask?

In University Hall, which is on the beautiful Stag Hill campus at the University of Surrey!

How would a donation help?

A donation to MTSOC's Crowdfunder will help support a dedicated team of students to continue to build and develop new skills, make new friends and produce quality shows!

So remember, you can donate even if 'It's your Wedding Day' becaus every 'Single' donation helps! Just remember, 'It's all about the green'!

(A few 'Wedding Singer' puns for you there!)

Please help if you can!

All the best,
