Break in and destruction at volunteer-run dog rescue - can you help?

by Kevin Kibble in Spain

During the evening of 4th September, there was a break in at A New Day Spain dog rescue in Pedrera, Spain. Not content with stealing 1,700 euro, the TV, random items including ice creams from the freezer, the thieves proceeded to trash the house completely. They also took Maria and Keith's pet parrot and cockatiel.

They gained entrance by destroying the gate locks, drilling out the door locks and leveraging the garage door open. The damage done is extensive, the one saving grace is that no dogs were hurt or released during the break-in.

We urgently need your help to get the rescue up and running and secure again. Anything you can give will be very much appreciated and I can guarantee every penny or cent will be used to help get the shelter back on it's feet. I will match the first £40 donated to the fund.

We have deliberately set a low fundraising target to make sure we reach it and are able to collect all the pledges. We would like to raise as much as we can to ensure we can get the shelter up and running quickly.

Thank you so much for your help.

Kevin and Penny
