We are a Community Interest Company with the vision to open a
National Centre of Prehistory.
This will provide hands on learning for everyone from all backgrounds and ages in the field of Fossils, Dinosaurs, Prehistoric plants and animals and Minerals.
Would house a prehistoric walk full of living fossils such as fern and conifers and have life size Dinosaur sculptures adding to the learning experience
It will be a unique interactive Museum with regular changing displays ensuring its many visitors have something new for each visit
A key interest point will be a live preparation Laboratory in the style of a glass observation fishbowl design enabling the public to see first-hand and learn how palaeontologists prepare and preserve fossils and minerals.
We have some 12 million fossil/mineral specimens in our collection that need a home to be displayed for the public to see and learn from. This will be an educational hub enjoying visits from Schools and Groups such as Scouts and WI along with Palaeontologists and enthusiasts, corporate visitors, families, TV and Radio and overseas visitors.
With one of the most complete Iguanodon Dinosaur Skeletons in the UK that we unearthed in 2017. This 5-year ongoing project (on hold during the pandemic) will now be prepared and researched in full view of the public.
Upon completion of this project a complete a full size 3d exact model of this skeleton go on display enhancing the whole visiting experience as the public take part in these educational prehistoric activities learning about fossils/minerals and indeed in some cases be able to take home their own small specimen's.
