We are on the final year of our higher national diploma in visual and interactive communication. We are putting together an exhibition in East London ( Brick Lane ) to show off our final major projects for which we have focused on for the past year. Although we have finished our work we still need to raise money to help fund the show for things such as the actual space, tools, transportation, printing, props and refreshments. As design students producing quality work can be expensive so we need that extra push to make it that much better.
So as you know by now we are visual and interacitve communication designers. This means some of us focus on graphic design projects such as print work, animation or photography, or some of us came from the games design path so focus more on 3D elements and software.
We are now at the end of our course and for most of the college year have been purely focused on our final major project, this means we design our own brief to work on and see it through to the end, working on something we may want a career in one day.
Now as design students it can be pretty expensive to produce our work, i.e large scale prints, frames, screens, props ect. We also paid a large sum out of our own pockets to secure the exhibition space in London.
We decided to create a Crowdfunder project because with the show so close and work being printed and made etc it is starting to get very expensive and we want to create the best show possible as some of our futures may depend on it.
As there are 12 of us in the show we each need to raise another £100 for the location, so £1200 in total, so we have decided to put the Crowdfunder at £500 as even that sum will massiviely help us.
The show is open to the public 28th June - 1st July 10am - 6pm so feel free to come see us! The location is shown on the main page image.
