To aid vulnerable veterans in South Wales.

The aim of this funding is to help vulnerable veterans here in South Wales. I was contacted by a good friend who expressed his concerns about a veteran living here in Wales. This gentleman is a former paratrooper who served in the 2nd Battalion and is also a Falklands veteran. He has issues surrounding his mental state and suffers with PTSD and well as an addiction to alcohol. Through other resources we have secured a place in a rehabilitation unit for veterans with the above addiction and mental issues, which the individual has openly admitted he wants the help and is most appreciated of. This veteran has had very little support in fact I would go as far as saying he’s had none, too proud to ask for help until now!

This gentleman lives a solemn life with very few friends or family and has been living in quite harsh conditions. He’s been told by his GP that if he carries on the life style he’s living at this time he won’t or will be lucky to see Christmas!

I run the Tumble Breakfast Club here and have raised considerable amounts of money in resent years for similar things giving the money to where it’s needed and to those who’ve fallen on hard times. This isn’t given in the way of hard cash it’s provided some necessary things such as bed, cooker, TV and so on to make life just a little easier.

With a place secured in rehab for this gent I’m raising money so a small team can get together and decorate his house from top to bottom. Money’s raised will be spent on cleaning and decorating prodcts.

Your help in raising funds will be much appreciated.

Thank you Utrinque Paratus
