A decade of austerity has taken its toll on Romford. We deserve better than this Tory government and a Tory MP who simply cant relate to the experiences of our most vulnerable and marginalised residents. More working families using foodbanks, school children losing out on school meals thanks to changes to universal credit, pensioners being left up to £7,000 worse off because of changes to pension credits. Our NHS and emergency services have been under sustained attack from the Tories. The current system is set up in favour of the entitled few whilst the rest of us struggle to make ends meet. Its time for change, I will stand up against the rigged system. I will fight for fairness and social justice nationally and here in Romford. We have seen our schools struggling to provide the basic equipment for our kids, adult social care leaving pensioners without the support they need, housing lists grow and food back usage increase. Enough is enough.
We have a huge mountain to climb, but we can do it. We are up against a well funded, well resourced Tory machine in Romford, whilst we rely on people chipping a few hours between shifts and family, or a few quid towards the cost of running this campaign.
