. Our Organisation: Community Education Forum

We are a grass root organisation and have delivered projects to the most vulnerable youngsters in the community. We have in the past done so by working with schools through our home school liaison project and our outreach project in partnership with Doctor Edward and Bishop Kings charity in Fulham. The young people we are currently working with are already known to us through our previous services. They are mostly from lone parent families and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. They are also students with low academic attainment and without additional support or intervention are at risk of underachieving at the end of key stage 2, 3 or not attaining five GCSE’s including Maths and English at Key Stage 4.

CEF is a well-established organisation with a high profile within the community and in the 15 years of existence has supported over 3,500 children between 5 to 16 years and 2,000 parents by improving their skills on Maths, English, Science; assisting them with the revision of exams (GCSEs); helping with homework; raising parents’ awareness of the education system in the UK; liaising with local schools to reduce exclusions and truancy and influencing local policy.
