We are a small fun atmospheric museum owned by Janet & John Ford within an historic building in Stratford upon Avon. The museum has recreations of different aspects of Tudor life and invites visitors to sit at a Tudor dining table, lie on the bed, try on the hats and sprawl on the throne! The museum does not receive grants of any sort and is fully responsible for the upkeep and fabric of the 16th century building, everyday running costs, staff and overheads. We have a number of school group programmes, which educate and make history fun, including tours of Stratford upon Avon with William Shakespeare in person!
However, the museum cannot move forward for lack of funds and wishes to add some computerised display/s to bring history alive. Without updates in this way, the museum will fall behind its richer counterparts and may disappear all together. The display/s will look at Tudor life but also the history of Stratford and the historic building.
As a reward you receive anything from a boost on our website - to a day with William Shakespeare, including visiting his home, along with cream tea!
