True Places Never Are, a new short film.
After a mysterious and unexplained event, the world has been left empty and completely devoid of people. True Places Never Are follows the story of one woman’s constant survival and search for companionship and humanity in this abandoned new life.
Based on an original idea by Daniel Johnson and written & directed by Nick Laws.
The second film from the team behind 'The Teacher's Handbook'. A short film successfullly funded through Crowdfunder in 2015. The same team are back, hoping to raise £600 for the budget of their second outing - True Places Never Are.
I'm always facinated about how films are made and the process that is taken to go from page to screen.
Films aren't simply made, they need support. Whether that be creatively, artisticly, logistically or finanically. What I love about Crowdfunding is that anybody has the ability to help a project get produced and made. I love the idea that you can look at a completed project and say, I'm part of the reason that project exists.
Put simply, you are the reason True Places Never Are will be made. I think there's something great about that.
Who will be making this?
Much like our first film, The Teacher's Handbook. True Places Never Are will be made by a talented and passionate group of people who have a huge love and respect for films. Some of our team, like myself, are currently studying or working in the Industry and True Places Never Are is a great oppurtunity for us to stretch our creative muscles and help make this film a great piece of work.
Thank you taking the time to read this.
