Country music is one of the fastest-growing genres in the UK - exemplified in the proliferation of independent events and artists, with country music hitting the mainstream on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2, and the leading country music festival C2C selling out The O2 for 3 days every March, with over 80,000 people attending every year - a number growing year on year. Increasingly, country music is hitting the mainstream, with collaborations between pop and country artists on the rise, including Zedd and Maren Morris (with over 592 million streams on Spotify alone) and Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha (with over 622 million streams on Spotify). From 2015 to 2018, Spotify noted a 21% increase in the share of country music streaming outside of America. Indeed, a CMA study recently stated that millennials make up ⅓ of listenership in the UK - Triple Fret Entertainment, founded as a digital native company will pivot and utilise this knowledge with our artists. The company has an international focus; aiming to work with US country artists - helping them to expand their business in the captive market outside the US - and UK country artists - enabling them to break into the highly competitive Nashville market.
The Team and Our Background
With backgrounds in music business, touring, publishing, digital marketing and PR, marketing and advertising respectively, the founders of Triple Fret are a formidable team of young, female entrepreneurs. Indeed, prior to the founding of Triple Fret Entertainment, both the co-founders of the company independently created their media outlets - Lyric Magazine, one of the leading independent country music magazines in the UK, and Off the Record, the leading UK country music podcast. Off the back of these, Triple Fret Entertainment was formed - the UK’s first country music record label and artist management company. We are a small highly knowledgeable, creative and dedicated team, working together to support and expand the profile of our artists and bands. We will work with artists throughout the different stages of the creative process, from the creation of the music (setting up co-writes, matching artists and producers) to the distribution and promotion stage of recordings. With a network of media contacts in the UK and Nashville, we will provide exceptional and specific marketing and PR strategies to boost artist profiles, fan bases and exposure - from social media campaigns to securing support slots on tour bookings.
Our vision for 2019
We already have a roster of 3 artists committed to the label and/or management company, and we are seeking to raise money in order to enable the release of their projects and promote Triple Fret Entertainment as an entity in and of itself. We are seeking funding, therefore, to put on a showcase of our artists later this year, cover the promotion of our 2019 releases - including advertising campaigns, merchandise and touring - and to provide small advances for our artists to begin to cover recording costs.
