TRIBE is a small, family-run Social Enterprise that invites families, adults, children and schools to join us deep in ancient woodland to learn new skills, reconnect with nature, and benefit from the healing effect of the woodlans.
Coming out of the covid19 crisis, mental health will be a bigger issue than ever, with so many people experiencing loss, whether that be of friends, family, jobs, homes, financial security, or simply hope.
We are developing partnerships with local and national mental health support organisations to enable our 'Woodland Wellness' sessions to reach those most in need.
Sessions will be tailored to the needs of the group but will typically include:
- Bushcraft activities - learn new skills as a group and create something tangible to take home.
- Shared, social lunch around the campfire in the woodland
- Nature Connection walk/ Forest Bathing
- 1hr Mindfulness with a local Mindfulness teacher.
- Support by Mental Health First Aiders.
As an organisation, we have been hit hard by the covid19 outbreak and restrictions, falling through the gaps of all of the financial support packages. We know the positive impact that our work has on individuals, society, and the environment and are determined to keep going so that we can be there for those who need us once social distancing restrictions are finally lifted.
By supporting this project, you are not only helping us to survive the crisis and keep providing a valuable service, but you are also helping those whose mental health has been impacted by the crisis to find a sense of hope and calm again.
