In September 2016 I was very pleased to represent the GB age group Triathlon team at the European Championships. But, these races are self funded and not professional. I would love to race again for Team GB (if I'm selected) but after the expense of this season I would struggle to afford the costs of competing next year. In 2017 my aim is to compete in events such as Westonbirt Sprint and Weymouth Half Ironman, amongst others. My dream goal as a triathlete is to get on the age group podium and qualify for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships which is in South Africa 2018.
I am confident my potential as a competitive triathlete is on the up and have seen improvements each year I race. This is partly thanks to my coach, developing experience and a lot of dedicated hard work all year round. Understanding that up to date equipment is an important part of competing on a level playing-field when it comes to getting the most out of my training and racing, along with other expenses; race entries, travel, accommodation and supplements has added a large strain on my expenses as an aspiring triathlete.
My career as a Personal Trainer in Bath has gone from strength to strength, working alongside passionate business partners and triathlon coaches. We run two businesses; Vibe Fitness which caters for one to one health and fitness training, and Urban Training Systems, group training classes, which includes a growing Triathlon Club 'Urban Endurance.'
