Tree planting to create wildlife corridor
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

To plant a wildlife corridor to mitigate future impact of National Grid plans to build pylons through our rural community.

My aim is to plant 1000 hazel saplings on a 1.5 acre strip of our 11 acre smallholding for the benefit of wildlife (mainly Red Squirrels) and act as a screen to the planned construction of pylons. Any donations would be used for the sole purpose of buying the saplings. I have fenced the area off to protect from livestock damage and would plant the trees at no cost.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £60 million for bright ideas and good causes.
