Pinkspiration founded in 2011 by Lisa Marie Brown aims to inspire young people and transform communities. Now ranking on the Natwest SE100 as one of the Top Social Businesses our journey has sky rocketed. Since launch up skilled nearly 7,000 young people and community members of which 70% progress onto training, employment or Starting Up their own business. There are 380,000 empty spaces, empty homes and empty shops that are in need of regenerating and bringing back into use. There are 1 million young people unemployed, we designed a project that meets the need of re-building these empty spaces whilst up skilling young people.
Transforming Spaces: Design Factor re-builds empty spaces and empty shops, reaching more than 20 million globally featuring on BBC, ITV and BBC Radio 4. Working with 200 Start Up's and growth businesses since appointed as Virgin Media Pioneer and involved with the VOOM Tour in Cardiff.
Our business growth journey is phenomenal and accelerated with more than 40,000 followers online and rank as Top 10% of social media users online and named by Twitter as "Most influential business". Working with the Prime Minister's Office recenlty filming about the Industrial Strategy and how skills training plays a vital role in the economy for a more productive and prosperous society.
Recently launched a pink truck with Inter-haul and Pallet- Track to celebrate International Women's Day. There are only 8% of women in haulage, 5% of women in engineering and 3% of women in manuel trades. In Wales there are only 2% of female directors and there is under representation of diversity in every sector it is important to continue to raise awareness of this issue and offer training that meets the needs of the community. On our construction sites they are typically 50/50 gender split and Pinkspiration believes ' Construction is for Everyone'.
Our passion is up skilling young people aged 16-30 both males and females to create opportunities to gain on site experience and offer work placements working with Industry partners, universities and colleges.

Transforming Spaces: Design Factor
Our construction projects transforms empty and unused spaces through working with the community on the planning, design and build. Working with build experts and volunteers from the community it acts like DIY SOS/60 minute makeover. The aim is to up skill young people and members of the community to gain on site experience.
Training on the site includes: planning, construction, managing budgets, Marketing, enterprise, business and managing the whole project. Our team and experts work on site for around one week to re-build the space and encourage volunteers to become involved learn new skills and progress into training, employment or Starting Up.
