We are raising vital funds to help support the club throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in the absence of our two annual meets.
by Tranent ASC in Tranent, Scotland, United Kingdom
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been forced to cancel our two annual meets which raise vital funds for our club. December 4th would have been the day of this years Xmas Gala so we have decided to still mark the day with a fundraising venture...
A Loony Dook!
A small group of participants will brave the East Lothian sea to raise funds for the club. This isn’t just any Loony Dook though as our participants will be taking part in fancy dress. As if that wasn’t enough, the fancy dress will be decided by YOU.
When you donate, you will have the opportunity to vote with your donation. The fancy dress option that receives the highest total will be what our group wear for the dook.
The fancy dress options are:
- Where’s Wally
- Ballet Dancers
When donating, just add your vote to a comment. You will be able to vote for fancy dress until Thursday 26th November. This allows us time to get our outfits ready. Afterwards you will still be able to donate.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be publicising where the Loony Dook will take place, but we will do our best to ensure everyone has the opportunity to see us take part.
All donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards helping the club throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring the swimmers of Tranent, Prestonpans, Port Seton, Cockenzis, Ormiston, Pencaitland and beyond can continue training and achieving their potential.
Keep up to date on our Loony Dook by following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
