We're a small, social enterprise focusing on creating opportunities for young people - especially those who struggle with traditional education - to get into the woodlands and learn new skills. We do this by showing people how they can create value from good woodland management, taking wood from a coppice and other woodlands to create objects through green woodworking.
This week, our chainsaw was stolen, taken from inside the van which was parked in a quiet village, outside our house. We operate on extremely tight budgets, so this has come as a real blow. And with the early spring, we were in the depths of getting the coppice cut, ready to use for projects over the summer. Some amazing people have come forward to lend us tools to help us get through the short-term, but we need a longer term solution.
So we're calling on you! We need around £500 to get a new chainsaw (we're going smaller than the Stihl 961 that was stolen!), but are looking to get a reconditioned one if possible. If we raise anything above what we need for the saw, we'll put it towards other tools that we always need.
Thanks - as always - for your support!
