To help my partner Tom replace some of the tools he lost when his van was stolen from outside our house a few months ago

by Madeleine Jane Irwin in Leeds, England, United Kingdom

My partner Tom is one of life's truly wonderful people - he is a deeply kind and patient human being, imminently trustworthy and 100% reliable. He is like this in all he does - as a partner, a Dad and a builder.  Everyone he works for is always really happy with the end result, Tom likes to ensure that people get things just as they want them.  He takes great pride in his work and is always keen to learn new techniques and hone existing ones.  People seem to love having Tom around - he is respectful and considerate in people's homes and always tidies up at the end of a working day.  As soon as he gets home he throws himself into family time - playing with our two children and helping with bath and bedtime duties.   Tom is authentically like this despite overcoming major health challenges and coping with family tragedy - things that might have left other people bitter and angry.

In November 2019 Tom's van was stolen from outside our house - in it were most of his tools, things he has saved for and accumulated bit by bit over the last ten years or so.  Fortunately he did have insurance for both his van and tools and they have both paid out which is great but unfortunately doesn't cover the true cost of the loss.  With this crowdfunder I am aiming to reach the target amount by Tom's birthday on 14th February 2020 so he can see how much people appreciate him and so that he can go get some new tools to keep him doing what he loves.  Thank you for anyone who is in a position to support with this.
