We did it

I've been selected to represent England in the Commonwealth Championships but have to pay all the costs. I can't afford to go without help.

What’s my story and how did I get this far?

I suppose what makes me different is the fact that I was tiny when I was born, weighing less than a pound and looking smaller than my mother’s hand in size. Doctors didn’t expect me to survive but quickly discovered that size doesn’t matter when it comes to grit, and I've always had plenty of that!!

I might be small (I am still small being 5 ft 2 inches in height), but I am very determined and never give up!

I took up Powerlifting 3 years ago and loved it from the word go, because it makes me feel better about myself as I seem to be good at it!!! I've been competing since the beginning and I usually come first in my class, which I hope will inspire all those who had a bad start in life to believe in themselves as if I can do it, so can they!

Competing in this commonwealth and representing my country feels like a dream come true - I just need to be able to afford to take part now and then hopefully win! Whatever happens you can guarantee I'll try my best and give 100%!

My best total is 430kg (160kg Squat, 87kg Bench, 182kg Deadlift).

Powerlifting has become my whole passion in life and I train for 5 hours a day most days, which means it's difficult for me to hold down a full time job, which is why I need help to pay to continue competing.
