Team Andreas & Friends
Running 10K at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Saturday 4th March 2017
Our little team are trying to right the wrongs done to Andreas by raising money to help Andreas and his family deal with the ongoing issues caused by the attack.
A brief history…. In December 2014 Andreas opened his front door to an unknown man who threw concentrated sulphuric acid in his face in a case of mistaken identity, whilst his wife Pia and son Theo were in the house. The attack has left Andreas blind in one eye, visually impaired in the other and with full facial scarring as well as scars to his arms and torso.
For a more detailed report of the attack please have a read of the below news article.

Over the last year Andreas, with the help of his friends, raised over £20,000 for the Katy Piper Foundation, a charity that has been and still continues to be of huge support to Andreas and his family. After hitting their fundraising target, we are now fundraising for Andreas directly to help him with the costs of therapies and treatments that he needs that are beyond what the NHS are able to offer.

AND... in a rare athletic appearance, Andreas has agreed to do the 10K with the team. This is a very large challenge for him, especially whilst he is still in recovery. Given the challenge he’s taken on doing the 10K, Katy Piper will also be running to show her support to Andreas.
Please dig deep and thank you all in advance.
