I have been an English teacher in a fully comprehensive school in the U.K. for the last six years. I teach 13-18 year olds and I find it extremely rewarding.
I love my job, but I want to be better at it so that I can help more young people.
I find the job tough because of the demands on my life and over the years my mental health has declined. With the help of a Master's degree, I would be able to continue teaching and inspiring young people, while I also continuing to learn and read for my own mental health. I would be able to work part-time at school with a higher wage, due to my higher qualification.
Unfortunately, the student loan that is available to me is not enough to cover living costs and the cost of the course. This is where you come in. I need some help.
My view is that if I ask and receive help from the community now, I can then work to repay my debt by being an outstanding teacher and building up the young people who will soon run this country/world.
Thanks for reading my story and for donating whatever you can manage. I truly appreciate you.
