We've spent 5 years together but not seen each other as much as a couple should. Uni is coming to an end and this is our big break!

by Harry Williams in Johnston, Dyfed, Wales

I am currently in the final year of my Masters degree - Forensic Investigation. My girlfriend and I met in school in 2013 and have been together ever since. I began University in 2015 in Cardiff and she began a year later in Bath, making our contact time short. For four years now we have been seeing each other just twice a month (aside from Christmas, etc.) and it's not been easy but I think it has made our relationship so much stronger and mature. We both graduate this July and have an amazing vision of jetting off to Thailand, Australia and New Zealand to finally have some well deserved quality time together, a break away from academia and giving something back at the same time. We have priced it up with a company and been quoted £4000 each so won't be able to go until at least late 2020. When in Thailand, we are spending a week in an elephant conservation and when in Bali, possibly some time planting in rice paddies to help the communities. When we get to Australia, we plan to self-fund and work whilst we are there. Why should you donate? Well that all depends if you love a typical childhood-sweetheart, school-kid relationship story or not! We both really need this break, to discover the world, to give something back and to actually be with each other after so long apart. With or without your very generous donations, we will jet off one day, but with your help we can jet off so much sooner. I don't expect many or any donations, and we are saving ourselves, but any donation, no matter how big or small, will greatly benefit us. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you in advance for any donations made - they will be incredibly gratefully received. - Harry and Chels x
