We have 3 children, a six year old and twins who are just four. In 2015 we made the decision to put our eldest into private school. This was going to be a struggle with all 3 children but together my husband and I felt we could manage it.
In 2016 I became ill and had to leave my career. This halved the family income but enabled me to spend time on recovery and with my children. As I recovered, with the support of my husband we decided I would return to university to retrain in a new career that would enable me to be there for our children.
The financial situation has left us struggling to fund my sons fees but we manage. The twins we thought would go to the local primary school with a good reputation. We were happy with this until some friends suggested our daughter Tillie was really bright. Tillie has always been a 'pocket rocket', into everything, intensely caring and forever needing a challenge. To gage how bright she was we took our friends advice to enter into an academically selective private school. She was offered a place.
At this time we cannot afford the fees. This opportunity is incredible and we are looking for crowd funding support to help us for the first 2 years until I am earning enough to cover the fees.
This is not a normal request and may receive some negative feedback. It is a genuine request from a Mum, who wants the best for her daughter and the chance to receive an incredible education.
