This little farming life
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

My aim is to own and breed a herd of pedigree beef herd of licolnshire red cattle and offer the best and most natural life possible for them

My names Lucan, I’m married with two beautiful children, I currently work as a railway signaling technician, but that’s not the end dream for me and my little family.

For a while now we have dreamt of owning our own small holding where we want to breed a herd of pedigree licolnshire red cattle for beef. Now I know a lot of farmers have this idea but our aim is to produce high quality beef that’s fully organic and fed on grass and living as high quality life as possible.

Once we are set up we want to expand into sheep and pigs and as my wife is qualified in childcare we would love to run summer camps for children for free, to let children of all backgrounds learn and understand about animals they may never normally get to work with or spend time around getting to know animals and how to take care of them.

We are ready to undertake all the work to get started up and are in the process of purchasing our farm. Our business plan is wrote up, our margins and costs are set, this has been a dream of ours for such a long time and recently we have decided to not sit on dreams and hope they happen but to go out and make it happen.

Thank you for taking the time to even look at our little idea and any help will go fully towards purchasing our first herd of cattle. Each cow costs between £750 and £1500 and we want to get our herd started with five in calf and expand slowly, once again thank you for taking time to read my story.

Got an idea like this?

Our crowd has raised over £70 million for bright ideas and good causes.
