Thick as Thieves short film

Thick as Thieves short film

Thick as thieves is the first of hopefully many films by duo Nick Davey and Christian Whittaker.

We did it!

On 11th May 2016 we successfully raised £1,020 of £1,000 target with 29 supporters in 28 days

New stretch target

The stretch budget will contribute towards a slightly more expesive but suiting location and cover costs for higher quality lighting and sound. More money also simply means more time, allowing us to shoot over a longer period and cover the hire costs for that time.

When Nick (Actor/Writer) and Christian (Director/Writer) get together you can bet your bottom dollar ideas for a story is a topic around the table. And this time “Thick as Thieves” was the outcome. A dramatic comedy script that now lies on the same table. And with the love and support from all you great people out there, those pages can be transformed onto screen.

Thick as Thieves’

One couple. One room. One problem.

For most honeymooners, one another’s company, the sun, and alcohol is more than enough, but for James and Jean, it’s another story.

After a long day swiping the many valuables the country had to offer the newly weds find themselves in a situation that would separate them for good.

Your money is in safe and passionate hands.

All donations will contribute towards the hiring of equipment, location costs and post-production. The actors and director will NOT be paid for this project. We have put aside our own money and are merely in need of a little more to make this happen.

First thing’s first. ALL donators will of course receive the link and password to view the project once complete.

The primary intentions for this short are to support another feature project. It will showcase the skills needed to support a feature film application. Thick as Thieves will not be distributed for monetary gain, therefore no returns or shares for donations can be given, as much as we would love that to be the case. That being said the incentives for all you lovely people are better than money, EVERYONE has money but do they have behind the scene photos and footage of a Whittaker Davey production? Or an executive producing credit? Ok some do, but not for this project.

Thank you for taking the time to read about this project, it certainly brings a smile knowing there are caring people out there, and we hope to return those smiles with this short film.
