41859290c041ef22800359e709d53bf61b2379a8Theo is a 15yr old boy with a complex speech and language impairment that has significantly impacted on his learning. I have started documenting Theo’s Blacksmithing journey here and trying to get it upto speed.

Theo is a part-time BTEC LEVEL 1 student at Plumpton College, Plumpton,  East Sussex, in the Metalsmithing department. Theo has made a promising start.

This project is to build him a small blacksmiths workshop to underpin his college learning, this needs reinforcing due to his learning impairment. The workshop project has a small grant towards the costs has been received from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.

It is proposed to build the workshop adjacent to the garage and extended into our garden at home. A quote has been accepted from a local building firm of a total of £2900.00.

The building will have a concrete base with a wooden external structure and lined with fireproof cement boards internally.

The current state of the project is this - please see photo.

The completion of this project will be an invaluable learning tool gor Theo and any donations no matter how small or large will go a long way to helping Theo learn his craft.

This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
