The Forgotten Handymen project is giving once vulnerable adults employment opportunities in the community and a means to support themselves.

The Forgotten Heroes Charity was born in January 2020 to help and support homeless veterans and the wider homeless community.

During lockdown we helped 12 adults seek safe shelter and housing including two adults under the age of 21.

We have now become a recognised small constituted charity in the local community and have formed the Forgotten Handymen which is made up of the vulnerable adults we have helped,  the Forgotten Handymen offers handyman services in the local community which gives the adults employment opportunities and benefits their mental health and well-being also giving them a small income to help their self esteem and gives them a sense of belonging.

The vision of the Forgotten Handymen is to build a recognised and established workforce in the local community with a permanent base of operations.

Funds raised will go towards tools and equipment plus securing a storage facility,  funds will also be used to continue the good work of the Forgotten Heroes Charity.
