As coronavirus spreads, self isolation increases and carers, NHS staff even supermarket shelf stackers are under immense pressure. Morale, community mood and the mental health of thousands - often already the most isolated is at rock bottom. And so... with the offer of a song, a smile and a drop of mountain dew (sanitizer), for one day only, Me.and Dan Donnelly want to bring St Paddy's day to YOU. We will attempt to bring a little bit of craic to hospital wards and waiting rooms, care establishments, schools, shopping centres, supermarkets, even your family home. All you need to do is let me and ny good Pal Dan Donnelly in. Obviously if you have any of the Coronavirus symptoms I won't be able to pop by but I trust people to make that decision.
Let me know who you want me to help smile by dropping me a message or comment and I'll contact you back with times and details. All I would ask is a bucket donation to The Pals Programme on the day - Pay What You Can.
And if you don't want me popping round you can still support my efforts by donating £1 or more on here.
All proceeds will support my continued efforts to tackle mental health amongst men through my Pals Programme. You can watch Teesside smile by following regular updates to my You Tube channel: www.youtube.com/user/mikemcgrother09 I'll post on facebook and Twitter as we head around Teesside.
I'll end the day with a st paddy's day live houseparty from my kitchen at 8pm - again viewable via my YouTube Channel. That's for anyone unable to get down to The Storyteller's St Paddy's Day party with The O'Blimeys. Free entry.
Let's use social media for what it was invented for!
They may take our loo roll... but they can't wipe out our craic ;-)
