Hi there, my name is Natalie.
I've been inspired by my four beautiful daughters to make something unique, combining their love of playing computer games, board games and competitive nature with their reluctance to help with household chores.
As a family of six, we have a wide range of family and friends around us who love the idea of getting their kids to do chores around the house, without being paid or nagged. To this end, I've designed a game that incorporates everything to make chores easy and age appropriate with just the right amount of silly.
"The War of Chores" feeds my household’s need of organisation with actual housework being done and a healthy reward system and so it was brought to life. Originally made with card and felt tip pens - the kids loved it!
This game has the goal of collecting points throughout the whole month, and allows you to play it for an hour or more and ending it when you want it to. Adults can take part if they wish and as a result your home is filled with laughter on a Saturday morning instead of a bundle of mess and tears.
It’s proven to be a fun way to encourage youngsters to join in with the housework and so I’m now ready to share it with other households. It’s aimed at 4-17 year olds but you will most probably find younger and older ones want to join in too.
