The Veterans Farm Able Project was set up to help rehabilitate Veterans and their families who have suffered trauma both mental and physical. We accomplish this by involving them in the theraputic application of rural skills and activites accompanied my qualified mentors. The skills include Animal husbandry, drystone walling, traditional hedging, horse care and many more.
This project is unique and we have has great success in the past, offering over 105 experience days. We now need to develope the project further by offering residential retreats that include their families. This helps our Veterans rebuild their shattered lives, regain their self esteem and supports the family unit.
