Dear All

I thought a few might be interested to know that some of the kids who were organising were interviewed by Ben Maddox on his podcast Infoperfected, which you can see here.

You'll hear Arnold and Beckham and later, Patrick's views on how the event went, what they did there, what I didn't do (!) and what they hope to happen in the future.  They're certainly keen to work on another village convention next year.  We also talked a bit about the Kampala Convention, which is now scheduled for 2nd and 3rd of September.  People are welcome to come to this event, which will be a bit less challenging than other events and should be really enjoyable.

The last two weeks have been relatively quiet and a chance to recharge batteries.  Thank you ever so much for supporting the GoFundMe campaign.  We made it!  All the money has now been paid over and we are just waiting for the final clearance certificate from the Ugandan Revenue Authority and the vehicle can move at last!  Lessons learned on these container imports...

Lastly, Ben from Infoperfected has been very kind and has started a kind of "Let's get some more games to Uganda" campaign.  He gives more information about it on his Facebook Page, if you are interested in helping.  Any games we receive we will be including in the September event in Kampala.

Hopefully some photos next time.  If you missed the Convention photos, then you can see them here.

Ben
