We did it
On 20th December 2017 we successfully raised £95 with 4 supporters in 28 days

Our Aim:

To provide a service that enhances young peoples' life chances in Exeter and East Devon. How? By linking up private tutors and students.

Why?

Forecasts suggest that there will be many jobs in the: maths, science and computing industries in the future that could, potentially, be filled by overseas key workers.  We believe that we can help develop local talent, outside of the classroom, to fill those roles. With (for example) the Science Park taking off in Exeter and Exeter growing as a city, what better time is there than now?

About Us

Having started up with just one student, our client base is beginning to grow (along with our reputation of providing: targeted, inspiring and successful tuition). The business started in 2017 and aims to expand rapidly across Exeter and East Devon (and who knows? maybe, with your help, further afield). We work with students and parents from all walks of life (including: special needs children and children with challenging behaviour) and aim to provide a high quality service that ensures the cognitive development of its clients. The founder of the business has 10 years of experience in the education sector and is passionate about helping young people secure a better future for themselves and all of us as a result. Our business relies on tutors traveling to the pupil/student (although some tutors work from home and others online). More and more teachers are leaving the profession the they loved  to pursue other careers (due to pressure and  budget constraints). We believe that many of the best teachers have left (often to be replaced with cheaper and inexperienced teachers) and deserve the chance to continue their passion for teaching.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We have child protection checking systems in place, but we wish to become an authorised Disclosure and Barring Service centre - This costs around £300.

We need finance to advertise our venture to ensure we link up as many students with capable teachers as possible. We estimate spending around £750 per year on internet advertising and a similar amount in the newspapers and magazines.

We need finance to invest in a platform that provides: a booking system, an accounting system, a taxation system and invoice system. This will cost between £10 - £30 per month.

So, if you are passionate about the development of young people in Exeter and East Devon, please donate to our cause.

Thank you.
