Stute Theatre and B Arts are proud to present The Telephone Theatre ‘You Don’t Know Me But…’ Created as part of B-Arts CARE: R&D Programme, this is a live audio experience, written and performed by Sophia Hatfield and directed by Gwenda Hughes.
This live audio show will virtually tour during AUTUMN 2020, supported by Arts Council England and will be performed live over the phone to one audience member at a time. Our producing team have been working hard to ensure that many these live performances are first made available to people who are shielding, self-isolating or less able to attend live performances in their area.
An online captioned performance and audio recorded performance will also be made available online and... We'd like to ask for you help.
Whilst there is a lot of theatre and performance content available for free online, Stute Theatre believe in paying artists for their work, acknowledging this digital work and paying it forward where we can. We want to find ways of supporting other artists, who want to create original work at this time and be paid fairly for their skills.
The first £250 raised will contribute towards our overheads and the video production costs we've incurred, as we virtually tour the Telephone Theatre this Autumn, offering a live experience to people who are not able to get out and see live work in their community.
Any amount raised over £250 will be used to commission a new artist or group of artists to explore a brand new telephone play. Stute Theatre will be on hand to support artists with everything we've learnt about live audio from this production.
The final amount raised will influence the final commission and the number of artists we support. We will adjust our commission brief based on the fees we're able to offer, ensuring that this is a fairly paid opportunity for all of the artists involved.
