Re-establishing the former Feel Good Foods garden into an area of nature for all to use. A community space of peace and tranquility.

by John Pearson in New Ollerton, England, United Kingdom

An idea shared with myself and our local vicar, grew quickly to include several local organisations. In wanting to provide a natural area within our town. Where people or individuals could find some peace in natural surroundings, where friends could meet away from the bustle and often stresses of life that at times affect us all. Accessible to all, to use or to help create. To provide sensory planting throughout the garden, areas of wild flower, fruit, Vegetables to be sown grown and picked by all who have need of fresh produce.

A space accessible to all, being wheelchair friendly. Sensory grown areas benefitting those with no, or impaired vision.

Just a place to find peace and tranquility in the midst of out town. And with the involvement now of a mental well being organisation. We are including in the project, a quiet more sheltered area where a professional listening ear can be arranged for those who find it difficult to locate more official welfare state provision when in need.

The progress made so far only possible with the help of these amazing people. Edwinstowe Lions group. Ollerton & Boughton Recycling (R.O.B). Shaw mind foundation BREATH HUB in Newark. With community members contributing to the garden development.
