The Shuffle Sessions Cath is taking on a non-stop 24 hour challenge of music, madness and showcasing their bestest ever presenting skills! We shall start at 11am on Sunday 28 April and finish at 11am on Monday 29 April.

We are staffed entirely by volunteers and are a non-profit company - fundraising is vital to keeping us on air when so many other community radio stations are closing down and let’s face it we are flipping awesome!!!

Speysound Radio, based in Aviemore, Scotland, started life in 1993 as Ski FM, following which we shared air time with MFR in Inverness for a time. However, in 2009 we were granted our own Community Radio Licence by OFCOM, and began broadcasting on 107.1 FM as well as live on the internet. Our most recent development was the advent of 24 hour broadcasting which began in 2014.

More about the Shuffle Sessions - The ultimate war of chalk versus cheese; superman versus kryptonite; Garfield versus Odin. Cue dramatic music…  Two ‘digital music service’ accounts collide in the ultimate battle of whose music collection is superior! Each week over two glorious hours we shall tease your lugholes with an eclectic mix from Audioslave to A-Ha, The Smashing Pumpkins to S Club 7 and anything and everything in between as we try and figure out just who does have the better music taste! With the unknown of just what will be played next when ‘shuffle’ is pressed, there is bound to be something for everyone eventually.

The Rules – 5 minutes break per hour (which can be carried over) and no more than two songs in succession - to make sure Cath is awake!!
