The Sea Horse Pub is a public house on the site of Whitley Bay Football Club. It does not have a passing trade, relying on match days and sporting activities held in the pub, including darts and pool leagues.
All revenue for The Seahorse Pub ceased on 23rd March 2020.
Although it has been allowed to open from 4th July, matches aren’t yet allowed to play, and footfall to the pub for sporting activities has been hugely reduced to ensure safety measures.
The team at the pub are keen to launch new services, adapt the building to deliver those services and create new jobs for when the season starts again. It has just been agreed that this should be September.
New services include a food offering (to be delivered to or collected by the local community) and catering in-house for customers, both which will increase jobs and revenue; to achieve this safety improvements and renovations are needed to the building.
The Seahorse Pub donates all profits to support the football club, which of course, has not been able to play since the end of March either and has sustained large losses as a result.
For every donation made there will be a voucher given to spend in The Seahorse Pub on your choice of drinks. £10 donation, equals a £5 voucher; £20 donation equals a £10 voucher and over £25 will receive a £15 voucher.
