After years of studying law, working 9-5 doing a job I don't love (but thankful for the skills I've taken from the different roles over the years) I started to realise I didn't love any of it, and I started drawing underwear and had a try at making some of my own.
When I threw myself into it, naturally my degree suffered but I still tried to keep on top of it, alongside my job, but underwear was always at the forefront of everything I did. I'd attend sample sales to see how competitors were doing and what prices they were selling at, but I realised quickly I'd need a lot of help, which means a lot of money.
After a few years of working full time and putting my lingerie dream on the shelf, I came up with the Sauce Room, and created a brand before I created anything else, with some samples made I realised I wasn't too bad at this and now is the time to take it seriously and push for what I want, my own lingerie brand.
My concept is to have different rooms/vibes for different moods, women are often only allowed to choose few looks when it comes to their underwear; comfy or sexy, and personally I have a million different moods when I want to feel good underneath my clothes.. so why limit our choices?
At first I'd like to create a site where all brands can sell their underwear, similar to other powerhouse online retailers, but specifically aimed at loungewear and underwear, but categorising the mood and feel rather than the item itself. Once I've established a name for the website, I'd like to introduce my own brand to sit under Sauce Room, with data from the sales already made with other brands, I could create underwear based on the mood and feel most frequently bought by our customers.
