There are over 4m children living in poverty in the UK. In my school, a third of the 1800 pupils rely on foodbanks even though their parents work. I feel so sad and angry that this is happening. During the school holidays, children go hungry. Why? In this day and age it shouldn't be happening.
There are millions of 1 pennies lying about. On streets, behind cushions, in draws.
Unused.
If everyone collected all their 1p's & donated, it would raise lots of money. I will contact local foodbanks /childrens charities and donate every penny to them to help them during this difficult period.
Instead of chucking the pennies in the draw. Please donate them. Show the children of this country you care.
