We have 7 grandchildren, five of which live in Bude, so we feel it is important to support the young in these difficult tines

It's a commonly held misconception that Cornwall is the iddylic place to grow up. My work is in a mental health charity working with young people in Bristol. We strongly believe in young people being given the skills to talk about how they're doing, participate in overcoming the stigma around mental health and getting involved in good stuff. I lived in rural north Devon for 7 years and worked with young people as a mentor for some of this time. The issues are real for them. I give this with hope for these young people that life can and will be better for them than others have experienced in their situation.
