Let's take THE OTHER to audiences!

A coming-of-age story of migration inspired by the current Syrian crisis.

We did it!

On 24th May 2016 we successfully raised £680 with 31 supporters in 28 days

11 years old Mana from the war-torn Red-Yellow planet is forced to catch a shooting star to seek refuge somewhere else. In a long planet-to-planet journey, Mana strives for her survival, will she ever arrive to the beautiful blue planet?

With a terrific team of creatives (Ben Samuels, Irina Shengelia, Pablo Fernandez Baz, Adam Fuller and Angie Pena Arenas), I am writing and performing a coming of age darkly comic adventure overflowing with poetry, strange creatures and pumpkin-headed soldiers.  As an artist, I also strive for survival, will I ever reach our targets?

We need:

£500 to reach our ACE match-funding budget and take this theatre show to the Brighton Fringe, Rich Mix London  and Bikeshed Exeter.

£350 to adapt and perform the show to young refugees at the Refugee council in East-croydon and also deliver a Q&A and workshops with the group.

THE OTHER is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and has support-in-kind from Casa Latin American Theatre Festival.

Outreach partners: REFUGEE COUNCIL, IRMO and ICT.
