Professional Cricket to Speciality Coffee
Having achieved my childhood dream to be a professional cricketer, I now feel a strong obligation to encourage and support those who wish to pursue their dreams.I am creating Coffee On The Crescent in Leeds with the focus of providing a meeting space to inspire individuals to achieve their dreams, alongside serving great coffee.
Coffee On The Crescent
Our aim is to leave all our customers feeling uplifted through;
providing outstanding ethically sourced drinks and food, in a fun and vibrant environment.
concentrating on how we make our customers feel.
Every customer visiting Coffee On The Crescent should feel more positive about the challenges ahead, having visited us.
Supporting Local Talent
Coffee On The Crescent will support local emerging artists by exhibiting their work and providing a platform for them to sell. We want to support people who are on their journey rather than at their destination.
We will do the same for people with other talents such as musicians, authors and bakers and we welcome other ideas our crowdfunders might have.
Leading by example.
Talk is cheap, we will inspire through our actions not our words.
Take our coffee supplier North Star as an example. They have been chosen not just because it is a fantastic tasting and locally roasted coffee. It is a company that goes above and beyond the requirements of fair-trade and rainforest alliance. They are a company that are making a really positive impact on the coffee growing nations, both socially and environmentally.
Dreams without actions are wishes
Since retiring as a cricketer, I have used the determination and focus I was known for on the pitch to learn all I can about my other great passion; speciality coffee. This has led me to preparing for Coffee On The Crescent through business acumen training, coffee training and working as a Barista at Woodlawn Coffee. I hope that my journey to a completely new field will prove that it’s never too late for anyone to alter their life path.
