The MotherHood

The MotherHood

You could help us change lives by enabling us set up a Mum focussed Charity called The MotherHood.

We did it!

On 30th Jan 2018 we successfully raised £2,241 of £2,000 target with 76 supporters in 28 days

Our lives have been touched forever by the tragic loss of a friend and mother who felt she couldn't cope. Perhaps you know someone who has struggled with becoming a parent or you could be the one who needs support but doesn't know how to access it. We are committed to supporting families and helping women transition through motherhood with skilled, professional and caring support but we can only do this with people like you behind us.

We need approx £1000 to physically set the charity up, assigning a charity number, allocating trustees & enabling it to be able to claim gift aid. The money will also be spent on Logo Design, Website, Marketing and Training of our Mentors/Buddy's.

Here is what The MotherHood will be all about...

The MotherHood - Helping Women Transition Through Motherhood.

At The MotherHood we firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child. Sadly, our society today has lost many elements of that village with families being separated and living in different parts of the country to our traditional support units.  Often with an overwhelming pressure to cope by ourselves

The MotherHood is here to support all mums regardless of the age of their children, or their family structure, providing a support network to reduce feelings of loneliness and instill a feeling of togetherness.

The MotherHood , and it’s village mentality will bring back that sense of community, providing a safe space through various mean including a mentor/buddy system whereby we can partner you up with a fellow mum who can meet for coffee, chat or just be your sounding board. We have a community area whereby we can sign post mums to other great organisations, a dedicated “dads” area, a monthly social/meet up where mums can come chat and meet other like minded mums whilst, for instancelearning a new skill or listening to a talk.
