"The Little Cabaret of Suffragette" is celebrating the 2018 Centenary of Suffrage.
A totally original piece of theatre, written by local playwright Belona Greenwood with music and lyrics by Nick Murray Brown.
The idea was sparked fueled and made real by our wonderful producer and feminist Mary Hunt and our fabulous director Agnes Lillis.
An all female cast portraying national women and local Suffolk women who historically fought for the cause.
We're taking our production on tour to six different coastal Suffolk venues listed below.
Our play with give people a chance to be educated and to appreciate the dedication and resiliance the suffrigettes and suffragists had in winning the right to vote.
It's extremely relevant today to address inequality and to encourage young people to vote and to stand up for what they believe in. Change can happen.
In order to make this venture possible we need your help. We need to fund costume, lighting, props, publicity, rehearsal space and transport so any help at all that you could give us would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you for reading about our venture and for supporting us.
