My idea was born 13 years when my son was diagnosed as " having " dyspraxia and being on the autistic spectrum
It has been such a journey and one where i have realised that there is a real need to provide employment and social inclusion for these guys .
i want to provide a horticultural project which will lend itself to a " green" project where vegetables and plants will be grown and then sold in pop up shops or at some point through home delivery .I aim to introduce a Royal Horticultural Society qualification and also provide work experience.
I also aim to have a hub where these guys can come together in a safe environment to socialise and also have the opportunity to avail of trips
The money would enable me to get the horticultural project up and running, buy equipment and plants etc And also use the money to set up professional qualifications which enables these people to strengthen their employment chances
I would also use the money to provide resources for the weekly Inclusion Hub get togethers ...live bands, arts and crafts , art therapy , trips out etc
I want all the people who possibly feel they have many hurdles to overcome to have a purpose in life , to find their wings and soar , to achieve success, to socialise in a safe and nurturing environment and above all else to have fun in life .The Inclusion Hub is all about empowering people , connecting communities .I do not want to treat these people with pity ..I want to treat these people with self respect and help them find their identity.
