Accessing counselling can be difficult for a number of reasons; NHS resources are stretched, and often people cannot afford to pay to access private counselling. The Human Flourishing Project offers free, long term therapy (up to 40 sessions) to people that require it. You can self refer into the project, eliminating the need for a specialist referral.
The HFP is run by staff and students of the University of Nottingham, it was formed as a community interest company, and is run as a co-operative. As well as offering free psychotherapy, we also collect data to conduct research in order to help us understand how people change during the therapeutic process.
Our funds are limited. After a successful first twelve months of operating we wish to continue to expand our services, to ensure that as many people as possible can benefit in the future. We would like to thank you for looking at the page, and we would be extremely grateful if you would make a donation to help support human flourishing within the community of Nottingham.
