THE GREAT PROBUS SATELLITE SPLAT HUNT
At times like this our hearts go out to those who are ill, but equally we are enormously grateful to those who care for the ill and risk their own health on our behalf. This pitch will support a fund giving National Health Service staff and other key workers a well earned free holiday after this virus has passed. As part of the Youth Hostel Association's 90th anniversary they have created just such a fund and this pitch will support it.
Currently we are all isolated like never before and we are having to find ways to entertain ourselves and/or other members of our families. The Great Probus Satellite Splat Hunt offers something a little different.
You may be familiar with traditional walking treasure hunts and puzzles that take you on a journey around a location as you hunt down the clues. Our satellite splat hunt does exactly that, only this time, you're led by a map on an app on your mobile phone or tablet to specific locations. Upon your successful navigation to each point on the map, you'll hear a clue to discover part of a hidden message you'll be required to unscramble at the end of the hunt.
The current government guidelines state that we are allowed out to exercise everyday. So why not add an extra bit of fun to your daily exercise in Probus and have a go at our satellite splat hunt (whilst continuing to maintain social distancing).
The Great Probus Satellite Splat Hunt is free to do, but if you' enjoy the hunt and would like to donate to the YHA fund, please do so through this page.
The satellite hunt just requires a mobile device or tablet compatible with the Izi Travel: Audio Travel Guide app. The app is available from the Google Play Store on Android, and the Apple Store for iPad and iPhones.
