The Campaign to get Ross Brown elected to Stormont has begun and we need your support in order to print leaflets and Canvass Cards.
About the project
Why We Need Your Help
Ross Brown will be the candidate running for The Green Party in East Belfast. We need funding to run a campaign and are starting our fundraising for £300 in order to print approximately 5000 leaflets and 2500 canvass cards, so he can get the Green Party's message out in his constituency of East Belfast.
With 60,000 voters in East Belfast as you can see the costs are significant so please consider helping us!
We are only a small part of the Green Party NI, running thanks to a small and dedicated group of volunteers. We do not accept corporate donations like some of the other parties and rely on the generosity of people like yourselves to keep us going.
We know that you may not be able to vote for Ross or the Green Party in the upcoming elections, but with your help, we hope to have more candidates across Northern Ireland in future elections.
The Green Party don’t have the big business backing of the established parties. We are the only party in Northern Ireland which does not accept corporate donations and which publishes all donations we receive over £500. We rely on our members and supporters - people like you - to make donations to fund our campaigns.
Please donate whatever you can afford towards our target of £300. Your money will really help our campaign to elect Green MLAs, and reach out to more people than ever before.
Following successful local elections the Green Party in Northern Ireland has been experiencing its own wee green surge in the last 12 months!
Membership has doubled and we're now running campaigns for the upcoming 2016 NI Assembly Elections.
Over the last number of years we've been campaigning for:
- Green energy and a frack free Northern Ireland
- Defending our public services
- Equality for Women & the LGBT community
- Animal welfare
- Integrated children's services
- Public transport investment
The Impact
Hitting our target will allow us to fund and deliver a wider campaign to highlight why our policies will work for Northern Ireland.
People are turning to the Green Party like never before. We’re providing a real alternative to the politics of sectarianism, scapegoating and corporate dominance. With your help, The Green Party can help campaign for a fairer and more sustainable future.
