The Corner Surgery Wellbeing Gardening Sessions
We did it
On 14th February 2020 we successfully raised £2,235 with 48 supporters in 85 days

To enable people to continue to experience and participate in our weekly gardening sessions to improve their health and wellbeing.

New stretch target

With the extra money we would like to buy flowers, seeds, compost, a water butt, tools and additional labour. This is paramount to the future development of the gardening sessions thus our patients wellbeing.

We are a relatively small GP surgery in a deprived area of SE London. Our patients experience a range of issues affecting their health and wellbeing.

In 2014 we joined the Lambeth GP Food Coop ( ) which builds gardens for GP surgeries for patients to grow vegetables together. Over the years our patients with mental health issues and various physical disabilities have clearly benefited from participating in our gardening sessions.

However, sadly the initial funding has now diminished and we wish to continue the weekly sessions for our patients.

The vision moving forward would be to obtain £2000 in order to continue these invaluable wellbeing sessions.

Any monies we receive will be spent on a professional gardener to run the sessions and on supplies, tools and general upkeep.

Without this the fear is that those who are in most need of this community service will continue to feel isolated and alone.

Please find it in your hearts to donate as little or as much as you can.

Thank you.
