There is a social problem we currently see that I truly believe needs help. Young, disadvantaged individuals, people who have struggled to find a path in life or those already working within a certain trade are often not given fair opportunities to progress in something they have passion for and are showing a willingness for. The fundamental social impact that I am trying to have is to encourage young people or those who have been disadvantaged in life to be given a chance at training, education and certifications within the hospitality sector and continue to be mentored by ourselves one they have flown the nest. We would encourage employers to treat them more fairly. My proposed solution to this is to take individuals (whether they are already working in hospitality or not), discover what truly makes them passionate, provide them with the education and certification to be the best person they possibly can be and find them future employment. After this, we would continue to act as a safe haven for these individuals, ensuring they are continuing to be treated fairly, paid a living wage and given opportunities. I would like to have a lasting impact on our society with The Youth Cartel. I hope there will come a day when all public and private sectors will strive to do more for the people in their society, provide a haven for their employees where they feel safe and respected and create opportunities for those who truly want to do well but might not know where to start.
