Arty Party, are an incredible team of performers, artists, storytellers, writers, dancers, actors with learning disabilities who come together to share their artistry on the canvas, on film, on paper and on the dance floor.
Arty Party have been sharing phenomenal award winning films in disability and main stream film festivals around the world. Many of Arty Partys films come from the members own stories, own dances and own lives. Our installation entitled 'Four Solos in the Wild' (www.solosinthewild.com) was exhibited in the Tate Modern in spring 2018.
We work with professional artists with and without disabilities to produce work which defies stereotypes in its quality, power and messages.

Arty Party will be adapting writings by NYT best selling author Jeff Vandermeer (Annihilation). To produce fragments and images of stories viewed through draws, doors, openings and peep holes in an antiquated cabinet. These unique stories will be narrated by radio broadcaster, musician and writer Mark Radcliffe.
We feel that these stories echo parts of our own lives and like us are full of unexpected magic
This installation will visit galleries, theatres, and film festivals in 2020.
For this project to happen, to light the fuse on our creativity, we need a little help from lots of people. We need to raise £4000 to support the production of this work. £1000 will enable us to make the filmed works everything we want them to be, to be able to get support from film industry experts in writing our scripts and to travel together to film in the right locations. It will also support us in honing our acting and screenwriting skills.
£1000 will also trigger funding from the Arts Council who have pledged support for the project.
We are excited about this project and feel confident that with your help 'The Cabinet of Secret Lives' will capture curiosity, spark new ways of seeing and celebrate the power of differance.
