We started our little group in 2013 with one hive to try and get more fruit and veg on an allotment. It was a huge success and we were soon asked to repeat the process on neighbouring allotments.

In 2018 we took the next step in become the first UK CIOto take up the plight of honey bees and the environment in which they are naturally found.

By 2019 we had 50 hives in the community with a further 15 being added to that in 2020.  It is our aim to place 40 hives out in 2021, but our 2 chairty stores are shut because of Covid-19 and all our funding has dried up.

Now we are turning on every funding stream we can find to ensure we find the £15,800 to achieve our goal for next year of 40 more hives out there in the world which also lifts the houses that have them out of poverty by selling the honey their hives collect and giving them half of all the honey sales.

We need your support, not every year not every month not even every week, just once to help make sure we as a chairty can survive and ensure the survival of honey bees in the UK
